Where's the common sense on FinReg?

CNBC is interviewing a Republican Senator from Georgia this morning. The Senator is spewing the Republican talking points as to why FinReg (the financial overhaul bill going through Congress now) is not good for our country. In essence, the main objections that Republicans have is that regulation over our financial system will restrain lending and kill off capital formation.

Excuse me?

Wasn't it unrestrained lending and excess capital that created this crises in the first place? You bet. Yeah, let's not address the key problems that brought this economic mess to our doorstep. My god, Republican politicians in Washington DC are absolutely insane. They're in the pockets of the fatcat bankers.

Republican Senator Richard Burr needs to go. We need some common sense in Washington DC. And right now, there's absolutely no common sense coming out of our Republican Party. North Carolina deserves better than Republican Senator Richard Burr.
