Healthcare and Republican lies

Americans hate Obama Care, right? Well, wrong.

Republicans politicians lie. They spread fear and lies to get their way. If we haven't learned that lesson after spending $1.5 Trillion to find the non-existent weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, when are we going to wake up and tell our Republican party where they can stick their lies?

I'm tired of the lies. I'm tired of the efforts to spread fear. I'm tired of my Republican party. I'm tired of Republican Senator Richard Burr. The man is absolutely worthless. 15 years in Washington, and he's accomplished nothing of substance.

Remind us Richard Burr, remind us again how it is that all of America hates Obama Care. Lie to us, yet again.

North Carolina deserves better than Republican Senator Richard Burr.

Mubarak is a Republican

Is this Egyptian joker Mubarak an idiot, or what? He's digging in. He's ignoring the mass street protests. He's ignoring the anger of his people. He's ignoring that protesters burned down his political headquarters. He's turning a blind eye to the fact he's one hell of a failure and his people are on the verge of throwing his sorry ass out of the country.

Hosni Mubarak, the leader of Egypt, is acting like a Republican.

Hosni and Richard Burr - long lost brothers.

Why couldn't Richard Burr conduct war like Ben Bernanke?

Are you watching Egypt? Did you see what happened in Tunisia?

What's happening in our world now is absolutely amazing. Ben Bernanke, one man, is overthrowing autocratic governments around the world. Ben, our chairman of the federal reserve board, is flooding the US Economy with liquidity, in the form of printing money and buying Treasuries. That liquidity is finding its way into the US stock market, driving up securities prices and making investors wealthy. It's also flooding into commodities and making eating, driving, just plain living, significantly more expensive the world over. And those higher commodity prices are causing poor folk around the world to rise up and overthrow governments.

Republicans spent $1.5 Trillion to overthrow the government of Iraq. And thousands of US Citizens lost their lives, and 10s of thousands more were injured. Ben? He spends $600 Billion investing in government assets, and autocratic governments around the world are falling like dominoes.

And to think that our Republican party wanted Ben's head on a platter. Our Republican Party was just tired of Ben's quantitative easing. Our Republican Party thought it would lead our country into ruin. Hardly. Our country grows more wealthy by the day. And autocratic governments around the world cower in fear of being overthrown by their people. Republicans were just plain wrong. What else is new?

Ben is a one man army waging relatively inexpensive wars that cost zero American lives. I'll take Ben's army and wars any day, over the wars waged by the idiot Republicans like US Senator Richard Burr and his comrades who sent us into Iraq. Richard Burr opened a window and threw out $1.5 Trillion and a number of dead Americans. Ben's accomplishing the same results by INVESTING $600 Billion. Who looks the fool now?

Cut and Grow is horseshit

The latest battle cry of my idiotic Republican Party? ... We're going to "Cut and Grow" our way out of this mess. For the sake of God, where does my Republican Party come up with all the idiots that we send to Capital Hill?

There is no way in living hell that you can cut the federal budget deficit to the extent that Republicans want to cut, and not wind up with anything other than one hell of an economic mess. And when you hear a Republican Politician talk about "Cut and Grow", you're just plain hearing horseshit out of the mouth of an idiot.

Here's the key: Watch the UK. While we're trying to deficit spend and slowly work our way out of this mess, England is taking the path that our Republican Party wants us to take, deep cuts with unrealistic talk of economic growth. Watch the UK sink into economic hell in the coming months. Then ask yourself, is my Republican Party not full of the biggest idiotic politicians in the world, or what?

Richard Burr is among the Cut and Grow idiots.

Where's Richard Burr ?

I haven't been posting much recently, for a number of reasons:

A. Been busy making money trading securities.
B. Am fed up with our federal government.
C. Am more than fed up with my Republican Party.
D. Am more than dismayed at the ineffectiveness of my Republican Senator.
E. All of the above.

A betting man would go with "E" - all of the above.

My wife and I settled in last night to watch President Obama give The State of the Union Address. We're both supporters of our President. But, I have to say that I was less than impressed with his speech. It simply lacked emotion. It didn't offer anything in the way of details. It wasn't tough enough. It just didn't motivate me what so ever. That was a golden opportunity for President Obama to have really changed the direction of our country. It didn't happen.

One thing I did do last night? I kept my eye out for my 15 year tenured Republican Senator Richard Burr. I did not see Richard Burr. In all the news shows leading up to the speech and after, I never heard his name mentioned even once. So, what else is new?

Richard Burr - nice man, loves his wife and children, good Christian, good neighbor. But what in the world does this man get accomplished for the citizens on North Carolina? Nothing. Richard Burr has done absolutely nothing of substance in his 15 years in Congress. He's been paid $2.7 Million in compensation since he's been in Congress. What did we get for our money?

We got screwed.

Hu vs. Burr

Sitting here this afternoon watching our President mop the floor with Hu Jintao. President Obama is on his A game. Hu is not talking much. When he does, its all fluff. It strikes me that Hu and Republican Senator Richard Burr could be best buddies. Both talk, but say absolutely nothing of substance.

Republicans go after Health Care

So, my Republican party now insists on chewing up valuable time, resources, money in going after a repeal of the recent Health Care legislation? I have but two thoughts about this fool's errand:
  1. Where were the Republican politicians when Health Care costs spiraled out of control? For eight years during the Bush Administration, Republican politicians sat on their lazy asses, while year after year, health care costs climbed 2,3,4x higher than annual inflation rates. Republicans did nothing. So why should what they think about this issue carry any weight now? It sure doesn't with me. I could care less about what my Republican party thinks needs to be done about health care costs. They ignored the problem and now its out of control. Republicans are largely to blame for this mess. They shouldn't be at the table when it comes to planning a fix.
  2. What's the Republican alternative to the Health Care problem? I hear lots of bitching out of the Republican Party, but I hear zero viable solutions. What I hear Republicans talk about is free markets and laissez-faire principles applied to Health Care. We tried that with housing and Wall Street. How'd that work out for us?
A message to my Republican Party as it pertains to Health Care - just shut the 'eff up and go away. You caused the problem. You have no solutions. While I don't like what's been done, I like less that you're even involved in the debate.

It's embarassing to be Republican

When I look to my party's leadership, I feel nothing but a giant sense of embarrassment:

Sarah Palin - Intellectual idiot, white trailer trash
Newt Gingrich - Sex addict and disloyal husband to an ill wife
Mitt Romney - RomneyCare and heartless Corporate raider
Ron Paul - King of rants
Mike Huckabee - Bible thumping nut, over-exaggerator
John Boehner - Weeper of the House
Mitch McConnell - KKK Grand Dragon
Jeb Bush - Member of a family of economy destroyers

Then there's NC Republican Senator Richard Burr. Who? You know, the man who has been in Washington DC for 15 years, and accomplished absolutely NOTHING of substance. Nice man. But what does he do?

Will there ever be a normal, intelligent, rational person who can rise to the surface and lead our Republican Party?

The violence begins

What happened today is unforgivable. But honestly, I'm shocked that it's taken this long for violence around our elected Representatives to break out. Stop. Think. Apply common sense:
  • We're $14 Trillion in debt
  • Underemployment is pushing upwards to 20%
  • 45+ Million Americans are on food stamps
  • 1 in 6 Americans lives in poverty
  • Medical, education, and energy costs are out of control
  • Housing, our nation's greatest source of wealth, falls in value by the second
  • Yet, wealth concentration is hitting historical highs
Our nation is a mess. Our people are hurting. Our elected Representatives have failed us. Today's violence is a first in what will likely be many shocking events in the coming weeks, months and years ahead.

Buckle up, we're in store for a wild ride, brought to us by inept Republican mismanagement of our economy, thanks to George W. Bush and the likes of our worthless Republican Senator Richard Burr.

Shut up, quit wasting our time, and get to work

Too much pomp and circumstance on Capital Hill today. I suspect I wasn't the only American who was fed up with all the back slapping and celebration that was going on at the gavel passing in the House today. Our country's politicians need to get a clue. $14 Trillion in debt is not a sign of acceptable performance. And instead of wasting our damn time and money in celebration and formality, I'd much prefer it if our Politicians would save our money, skip the formality, and get to work. Job 1? Reduce our deficits. Get it done.

What's Senator Burr been up too recently? The man's a robot. In interviews, he only spouts the party line. Cut spending. Fix healthcare. Blah. Blah. Blah. Wonder why he's been there for 15 years and hasn't managed to get anything of substance accomplished? Our Senator lacks a brain. He does what he's told, nothing more, nothing less. It's shameful.

Welcome to 2011. Welcome to another year of loser politicians who waste our money and get nothing accomplished on Capital Hill. Welcome to the rein of Republicans like Senator Richard Burr.

We're screwed.
